MKU now names arts institution after Churchill

The Mount Kenya University main campus held its annual student elections on 2nd and 3rd of February 2023, with a new format that allowed students to vote online for the first time.
After a successful election of delegates on the 2nd, the elected delegates cast their votes on the 3rd to determine the new student leaders who will represent the university’s student body for the 2023 academic year.
The delegates elected Ibrahim Ahmed as the new Chairperson, Awiti Dorine Valeria as Vice Chairperson, Hamza Abdi Mahat as Secretary General, Bryson Okechi Mark as Academic Secretary, Kimilu Mbalu Shedrack as Sports Secretary, and Kagu Ian Duncan as Entertainment and Social Welfare Secretary.
These student leaders will be responsible for advocating for the needs and interests of their fellow students and working to improve their university experience.
