Every language is not just a collection of words. A person begins to understand their identity by first knowing and learning their own language and history. Every nation has a priceless treasure that represents its identity and culture and passes its history from generation to generation. This is the mother tongue. Every person introduces the values, traditions, and culture of their people, which have been formed over centuries, to the world through their own language. Language is an important means that elevates a nation, introduces it to the world, and determines its present and future.
My mother tongue, the Uzbek language, is not just a means of communication for me, but an incomparable treasure that unites my entire existence, national pride, great history, and future.
The Uzbek language belongs to the Turkic language family and is distinguished by its attractiveness, clarity, expressiveness, and unique grammatical structure. Its centuries-old history reflects the difficult journey of our people. The great thinker Alisher Navoi played an incomparable role in the development of the Uzbek language. Through his immortal works, Navoi proved to the whole world how powerful the Turkic language is. His historical heritage continues to be significant even today. Just as every language has its own characteristics, the difference between Uzbek and other languages is that it is possible to form new words and change the meanings of words by adding suffixes. Most importantly, in Uzbek, it is possible to use one word with different meanings.
Nowadays, learning foreign languages and reaching the heights of modern science are the main responsibilities of every young person. Learning foreign languages creates an important opportunity to introduce the Uzbek language internationally. It is the responsibility of each of us to bring our mother tongue to the international stage. For this purpose, we can increase its international reputation by translating our literature into different languages, teaching our language to foreigners, and developing various kinds of Uzbek content in the digital world. Indeed, if our language resonates throughout the world, our national values and history will spread even further. Our homeland will rise one more step. Language unites an entire nation. Without language, there is no nation, and where a nation disappears, the concept of homeland gradually fades away. Therefore, we must cherish our Uzbek language, our mother tongue, preserve it in its pure form, and introduce it to the world. Indeed, we must ensure that our language is included not among endangered languages but among developing languages. The purpose of introducing the Uzbek language to the world is not only to show our history and values, but also to teach other nations a new language, new literature, and a new culture.
Although the Uzbek language may not be among the most developed languages in the world today, my mother tongue will always stand at the highest level for me, at all times and in every situation. I am proud of my incomparable language. The Uzbek language is our identity, our pride, our bright path to the world, and our future.
