Nakuru County Governor Lee Kinyanjui yesterday tool his campaign to Gilgil subcounty in his bid to seek reelection.
The governor and his team interacted with residents of Eburru Mbaruk, Gilgil Sub-County where he outlined achievements and what he has in store for them after the General Election.
“It was great to hear success stories of our youth empowerment program. A youth group that benefitted from a car wash machine under the program has been able to earn a living and bought another one,” he observed after the tour.
He further noted that such an inspiring story for the youth was a clear testimony and evidence that the young people can do great things once empowered.
Moreover, he revealed, farmers and traders in the area have benefitted from rehabilitated roads done through the county based Boresha Barabara program.
His parting shot for the locals residents was, “I urge Nakuru residents to give us another 5 years to continue with the life-changing programs”.
Kinyanjui, the Jubilee party candidate is defending his seat against the opposition from among others, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate and current area Senator Susan Kihika.
