Newly Sworn in Senator for Bungoma County David Wakoli Wafula has been formally admitted to the upper house – The Senate.
Mr. Wakoli took the oath of office Friday afternoon and immediately messages of goodwill trickled in.
Senator Kathuri noted: “Sen. Wakoli should fit well in Sen. Wetangula’s shoes and protect devolution.” Baringo Senator Cheptumo noted: “Sen. Wakoli, you have to unite this country devoid of political parties’ partisanship.”
At the same time Webuye East Member of Parliament Martin Wanyonyi congratulated Wakoli and wished him well.
“We are telling him that he has to fit in very big shoes of his predecessor. But we are here to offer him all the support he might require,” Hon.Wanyonyi said.
