Makueni County Deputy Governor Lucy Mulilii has praised Superior Homes Kenya for establishing a stopover centre for long-distance truck drivers at Sultan Hamud. She believes the “Supastop” could significantly reduce road accidents along the Northern Corridor (Mombasa-Nairobi-Malaba highway) by providing a unique opportunity for tired drivers to rest and replenish before driving.
Mulili called upon truck drivers and businesspeople to take advantage of the space and take breaks before continuing their journeys. “The one stop for truck drivers will offer them the opportunity to rest, eat, and pray, which is one of its kind and unique as drivers will replenish and avoid driving while they are dizzy and tired, “she said.
