United Democratic Alliance (UDA) aspirants who lost in the just concluded party nominations are planning to form a lobby group that will campaign for it’s presidential candidate.
The lobby, being headed by Nyeri Town constituency politician Wanyaga Gathaka will comprise all former aspirants who contested either parliamentary or ward seats in the county.
Wanyaga said the lobby will among other things, woe Nyeri county voters to support Dr William Ruto during the August 9 General Election.
He said he had decided to marshall the support of his colleagues who lost and had decided to stick to the party so that they can support their party leader’s bid.
“I am getting in touch with all those who lost and decided to remain in the party. We shall transverse the whole county campaigning for the party presidential candidate who is the current Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya,” Wanyaga said.
He disclosed that he plans to convene the first meeting before the week is over.
“We want to hit the ground as soon as is practically possible. We want to concentrate on Presidential campaign as those who won concentrate on securing their respective seats,” he disclosed.
