We are a generation intrigued by fame
One that is more focused on looking successful instead of being successful
Murdering someone isn’t so scary no more
Gangsters are richer than graduates

You get a job not by qualifications but by connections
Babies making babies with no intentions of caring for them
People worshiping fellow humans instead of God
Sending monthly groceries to church leaders when their parents are starving in the villages
Betrayal and heartache are a daily meal
Corruption worn proudly without any fear or remorse
A generation broken by jealousy
Still we hide in the shadows of our own
Hungry to reap where we did not saw
A generation to whom betrayal is worn as a second skin
We lack not resources but vision
Everything given on a silver platter but we prefer eating from the bare ground
