Nairobi County MP Esther Passaris

She is a committed leader who handles her work with a lot of seriousness, commitment, zeal and a strong degree of people centered service.
She is Nairobi County Woman Representative Esther Muthoni Passaris.
Airing her views as pertaining the affordable housing bill which is currently undergoing public participation, as enshrined in the Constitution of Kenya Passaris noted:
“I’m proud of all the Kenyans who have actively shared their opinions on the Affordable Housing Bill since the commencement of public participation last week. Currently, the exercise is ongoing in Kilifi County with Mombasa County awaiting their turn tomorrow. As legislators, we have three main functions: Representation, Oversight and Legislation. Specifically, my oversight committees focus on Lands, and Housing, Urban Planning, & Public Works.”
The Constitution of Kenya highlights the importance of public participation.
Recognizing the benefits of public participation, the Constitution of Kenya created new spaces for interaction, declared the citizens sovereign and demanded that the public must be involved in every aspect of public governance. Article 10 of the Constitution lists public participation as one of the national values and principles of governance that binds all state organs, state and public officers, and all persons in Kenya whenever any of them applies or interprets the Constitution, enacts, applies or interprets any laws, or makes or implements public policy decisions. The Government of Kenya is committed to ensuring the attainment of effective public participation. This commitment is demonstrated by the numerous provisions of the Constitution on public participation and Devolution. It is also demonstrated by the various policies, guidelines, and legislations on public participation
