President William Ruto and his deputy Kithure Kindiki on Tuesday met with a section of leaders from Meru County.
The President noted that constant consultation and unity of purpose among leaders are crucial in the endeavour to work together for inclusive national development and shared prosperity.
Further, he noted when leaders have a common vision, they are able to meet the needs of citizens.
The leaders that were led by Governor Mutuma M’Ethingia included Members of Parliament, Members of the County Assembly and other opinion leaders.
Among the issues discussed were roads and better returns for coffee, dairy, tea, avocado and miraa farmers. Others were security, health infrastructure, student accommodation, affordable housing and fresh produce markets.
