President William Ruto yesterday opened a housing complex for police officers attached to Central Bank of Kenya (CBK).
During the ceremony,Β held at Industrial area in the city, the Head of State disclosed that the government will reserve 20 per cent of theΒ housing units under the Affordable Housing Programme for members of the Kenya Defence Forces, the National Police Service, the National Youth Service and the Kenya Prisons Service.
He said the disciplined officers will benefit from single-digit interest rate credit facilities, as low as 3 per cent a year to grow the number of home-owners.
The CBK housing units comprises of; 200-two-bedroom and 10-three-bedroom apartments. The fully-furnished units provide dignified and decent homes for police officers assigned to the Central Bank of Kenya.
