Priscilla Nyokabi to contest Nyeri County senatorial seat on Jubilee ticket

Former Nyeri County Women Representative Priscilla Nyokabi Kanyua will be seeking to be the third Senator from the area.
Nyokabi made the declaration yesterday at Jubilee party headquarters where she was received by Secretary General and Ndaragwa MP Jeremiah Kioni and party’s Director of Election who is also Kieni MP Kanini Kega among other leaders.
Immediately after being cleared, she posted on her Facebook page, “I am happy to confirm that I will be vying for the position of Nyeri County Senator. After a lot of reflection, deliberation and consultation with the people, I am offering myself to serve. I draw from my track record on development, legislation and representation. The people of Nyeri have a special place in my heart. With God’s help and your support I look forward to serving diligently”.
With her entry, she will face among others, Wahome Wamatinga who is expected to be the UDA candidate, former Mukurwe-ini MP Kabando wa Kabando who is yet to declare his party of choice and Wambugu Nyamu of Democratic Party of Kenya (DP).
