Humans are social beings meaning that we keep interacting with the rest members of the society.

Human are curious beings meaning we always want to know more

In our day to day dealings we are required to make decisions on what we will do and what we will not do.

What you are willing to do is according to the decision you make and the extent that you are willing to do is the boundary.

The words yes and no are of importance when making decisions.

Making the right decisions will lead to a happier life.

It requires a lot of wisdom to be able to set helpful boundaries. While operating within the boundaries one should feel safe and confident.

When setting boundaries you need to identify your intellectual capacity, strength of your emotions, your spiritual strength, your physical strength, how much assertive you are, what are your social expectations, what are your past experiences and what the law of land permits.

Setting boundaries indicates that you know yourself and you care about yourself.

We all have different comfort zones when setting up boundaries you should be mindful of rights of other people so that you do not intrude their personal space.

Well set boundaries help us to remain connected to other people, safe and happy while poorly set boundaries limit our networking abilities, make us feel disconnected, regretful and irritated.

The importance of healthy boundaries includes:

Safe guard your physical and emotional spaces from being encroached.

Ability to make confident decisions as you is aware of what to accept and what to reject.

Ability to have an identity. This differentiates you from others. It is your signature since it is well thought it is favourable to you and it also incorporates need to care for others whom you interact with and who are around you.
