Gambian’s Gambian’s Gambian’s
How pathetic with pain in my heart ,
I clutched on my pen to write,
Yet a celebration of another celebration of corruption, inflation and economical back-fit.
My eyes are blurred with an unending tears,
And heart broken like scattered trees,
Why have we choose to be blind,
The fact that we are doomed, in-secured and conquered,
Yet we jubilate when thousands of Gambian’s are dehumanized, rip of our lives.
When most of us are living dead,
But we civilian’s got to swayed by the deceiving tongues of our leaders,
Wait,,,, stop do I just called them leaders,
Leaders who dined and whine when thousands of Gambians sleep on empty stomach.
Leaders who murder the same people they are meant to lead,
Oh !!! How I weep for Gambia,
Gambian’s wake up from your slumber for a great calamity have befall,
The smiling cost of Africa,
Why celebrate leaders that have no sympathy for its inhabitants.
Free but enslaved,
Losing identity is like inheriting genes of torture
And falling in lay thick shadows,
With scattered thoughts,
Like the trees of a desert, whose breath isn’t part of a soul
And whose life is a permanent darkness,
Gambian people crawl,
In road full of bumps in dry dampness,
Like the old bleeding gums
Because all our spirits are captured in darkness
Let’s stop the floor and save the sorrow,
For once in our lives let’s be a hero for the up coming generation,
How long should we keep on living a miserable life,
My heart is broken.
Leaders who customize our Parliamentary system our Education system, our heath system, our Agricultural system, our Environmental system, our banking system and Favour their selfish interest,
Planning next tactics in their Favour and betrayed our country salvation,
Sending fake information to we the activist and deceiving humanitarian in the name of politics,
Destroying our future development and changing our country into heartless civilians and wicked politicians,
My fellow Gambian’s if you want know the reality,
Let’s broke into our local government,
And see the disjoint of land problems and what was spent on development you will be suck and silent,
Oh what a sad nation,
Leaders whose excuses are permanent
Leaders of torment using political influence,
To cover up their bad deeds,
When will the senseless see the pain of the voiceless,
Oh Gambia it’s time to break the chain of sorrow and fight for a decent Gambia.
I remain your poet
