Kenya National Private Security Workers’ Union is raising an outcry and red alert over the increased strange attacks and killings of guards in the Country.
This follows the deaths of several guards in Kisumu and other parts of country, that includes Nairobi, Machakos, Kakamega which have in the recent past fallen victim of attacks.
Guards complement state security agents in protecting life and property yet they remain marginalised and vulnerable, said Bro. Isaac GM Andabwa (OGW).

βWe are tired of these merciless killings and if NOT stopped, the Union will move to the court to sue the Inspector General for selective application of the law. So many guards have lost life’s while on assignment, but the IG has never come up clear with the database, investigations, findings and actions taken, the perpetrators remain at large,β said Andabwa.
It is high time the private security regulator stamps it’s authority by profiling the nature of assignments and enforcing the use of the right tools of trade to save the guards, added Bro. Andabwa.
I appeal to the Government of the day to raise its antennas towards the plight of guards and act with speed to avert the continued scenarios where guards are loosing lives while on duty.
