President William Ruto yesterday reduced to ashes about 6,000 illegal firearms during a ceremony held at the National Police Leadership Academy in Ngong’, Kajiado County.
The Head of State notes that the destruction of more than 6,000 illegal firearms that were recovered between 2022 and 2025 signals the country’s total focus on tackling insecurity and violence in communities.
At the same time, President Ruto revealed that his administration was committed to protecting Kenyans from rogue police officers adding that criminal elements among members of the disciplined forces must be held to account.
