The group which includes engineering students said they will be through with the work in a few weeks.
Gakuru ageing father Francis Gakuru praised the team saying that their work is in order.
“As a family we have no problem in them doing this work. We appreciate and may God bless their hands, “said the elderly Gakuru.
In reaction, Nyeri Govenor Mutahi Kahiga denied that his county government was to construct a moseleum for Gakuru terming the allegations as baseless.
“I wish to clarify that we had not pledged such a thing infact during the burial I had requested the state through the president to give Gakuru widow a job and assist in school fees payment. On the issue of completion of the house it was also to be done by the state his brother was to follow this,” said Kahiga .
Kahiga accused social media in the county of misleading the public about the issue of Gakuru moseleum and the unfinished house.
