Marsabit County MP The Hon. Canon Naomi Waqo is a very thoughtful Legislator. She has taken the unprecedented step to provide a water tracking project in the arid county.
In her social media communication she noted:
“In a bid to mitigate the ongoing challenges faced by the residents of Marsabit County. My office has initiated water tracking programme across the county.
The programme shall be focused towards the worst affected areas in the county and we shall also pursue other alternatives to water trucking where necessary. The programme commenced at elle borr. More areas to follow.
I shall endeavour to work with the National and County Governments to ensure we achieve sustainable solution to water scarcity in Marsabit County through drilling of boreholes, equiping existing boreholes and building water pans among others.”
