The Kenya Kwanza administration yesterday made new changes in the running of various government agencies.
President William Ruto and several of his Cabinet Secretaries announced changes in at least 20 parastatals.
The move saw individuals who stuck with the President and his team during the campaigns rewarded while those who supported the Azimio La Umoja kicked out.
Among the winners were former Kisumu governor Jack Raguma who bagged the chairmanship of Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) where he replaced George Murathe.
Former Nyeri mayor Wanyaga Gathaka replaced Eng. David Muthoga at Tana Water Works Development Agency.
Businessman Maina Kamiru who has been serving as a Director for New KCC was elevated to the chair of the dairy sector based agency. He replaced Anthony Njoroge whose appointment was revoked.
Other beneficiaries, most of whom will serve for a period of three years are Dr Saimer Murevvei as the chairperson of the Kenyatta National Hospital, Charles Muriuki as Chairperson of Board of Directors of the Consolidated Bank Ltd, Robert Theuri Maina to be Chairperson of Kenya Library Services Board, Shaka Kariuki- Chairperson of Competition Authority Board and Sally Njambi Mahihu- Chairperson of Kenya Investment Authority Board.
Others are former MP Francis Kigo Njenga as the chairman of Unclaimed Financial Assets Authority, Francis Mugo- Chairperson of Scrap Metal Council, Josephat Gichunge chairperson of Anti Counterfeit Authority and Regina Ndambuki as the chairperson of Tanathi Water Works Development Agency and former Law Society of Kenya President Nelson Havi as the chairman of Retirement Benefits Authority.
Losers included, Eng Muthoga who is the vice chairman of Kikuyu Council of Elders, former Socilitor General Wanjuki Muchemi who was replaced as the chairman of Kenya Investment Authority, former Nation Media Group Chief Executive Officer Linus Gitahi whose chairmanship at Rivatex East Africa limited was revoked and immediately replaced by Cleopas Lagat.
