* As Kenyans across the country took part in the *National Tree Planting exercise, similar activities were witnessed in **Dagoretti South, where residents gathered at **Kabiria Road Primary School* and *Kirigu Comprehensive School* to plant trees and promote environmental conservation.
The event was spearheaded by *Winning Team International, an organization led by its Chief Executive Officer **Mr. Ashford Macharia, which distributed **fruit tree seedlings* to participants in conjunction with the local administration including the DCC, down to the chiefs and their assistants.
The initiative aimed to inspire Kenyans to embrace tree planting as a way of nurturing a sustainable and greener future.
Mr. Macharia reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to supporting the government’s greening agenda, noting that Winning Team International will *continue spearheading tree planting exercises across the country*.
“We believe environmental conservation begins with simple, consistent actions — and planting trees is one of the most impactful ways to secure our planet’s future,” said Mr. Macharia.
The activity brought together local residents, school communities, and environmental enthusiasts in a shared effort to contribute to the national target of planting *15 billion trees by 2032*.
