Mombasa County Woman Representative Zamzam Mohamed has reaffirmed her commitment to youth empowerment through the National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) Programme, a government initiative aimed at equipping young Kenyans with practical skills, leadership training, and economic opportunities.

Speaking at a sensitization forum held at RG Ngala in Mvita Sub-County, Mohamed joined Principal Secretary Mohammed Daghar, county officials, youth leaders, and community stakeholders to discuss strategies for enhancing youth participation in national development.

“The NYOTA Programme is about preparing our youth for leadership and meaningful engagement in the country’s growth. When we empower young people with the right skills and mindset, we empower communities and strengthen our nation,” said Mohamed.

The NYOTA Programme, backed by the World Bank, focuses on improving youth employability, expanding economic opportunities, and strengthening empowerment systems through training, mentorship, and startup capital.

Mohamed urged youth across Mombasa to apply for the programme and take full advantage of the resources available to shape their futures.

“Let us invest in our youth today for a better Mombasa and a better Kenya,” she added.
