Souad Khalil
By Souad Khalil from Libya
Why are you back
If you have to leave?
To leave me strange,
I suffer every day
The torment of absence,
you are cruel,
Listen to the beats of my sad heart,
To my inspiration,
to my voice calling you
To my hope
and hidden sadness,
To my rebellious poems,
to my joy in shaving fate
to my renewable songs
Listen, cruel
For the cries of my heart
That threatens you,
and begs you to come back.
