- Since decisions require to be supported by the prevailing conditions attention to details is important whether it is listening, observing or measuring we need to do it with a lot of keenness so that we apply correct parameters. Whatever we have in hand acts as the building blocks of our decisions.

As human beings we have our personal biases towards other people and processes which usually emanates from where we were born and how we have been brought up as well as our beliefs but this should not deter us from coming up with balanced decisions. We need to identify our biases and then try to remain objective so as to arrive at well-considered solutions.
Decision making is an important part of our lives. Every action or inaction is as a result of choices that we make. This is followed by the outcome which may be either friendly or unfriendly.
As human beings we keep interacting with other people as well as the other creatures and every time this happens, we are required to make decisions. It is not only when we are in midst of others that we are required to make decisions but also when we are alone, we are supposed to decide on what to do and what not to do.
There are seven major steps in decision making process, they include identification of the decision that you want to make then you need to gather the relevant information in relation to the decision that you are thinking about followed by identification of possible alternatives. Evaluation of the evidence available need to be done as it will enable you to choose the best option among the alternatives that are at your disposal after which you will take the wisely selected action.
Action taking need not to be taken as the final step rather a review of your decision and its impacts are necessary as it will reflect the real impact. If you find your decisions yielded to you the optimal results well and good but if the consequences of your decision are adverse then you need to consider revising it thereby preventing further harm.
Everyone has capability of making a decision but not every decision is well augmented. Decision making process can be trained to anyone for betterment of the quality of output that is why we have disciplines like economics, engineering, chemistry and statistics which largely deals with business decision making and tries to evaluate both the qualitative and quantitive aspects of every decision with an aim of identifying the most optimal decision.
To enhance your decision-making process, you need to keep updating yourself about the emerging trends and all facts regarding the subject that you are dealing with. Armed with extensive amount of information you are able to be confident, fast, accurate and comprehensive in your decisions, should any question arise out of it then you are able to defend it at ease.
Lengthy exposure to decision making processes makes you better at doing so that is why the aged are considered as wise counselors as they employ their experience to arrive at well-reasoned decisions.
We need to learn to make decisions about things that we encounter rather than requesting others to do it on our behalf so as to calibrate our mind to handle to handle such matters.

Whatever decisions you make you should be ready to take accountability for them. Every decision that you take have the impact. You should be ready to feel that impact but it should not worry provided you applied the facts in hand in the correct way as you will use them to defend your action should those impacted feel uncomfortable with your decision
For longevity and avoidance conflict of interests in your decision-making process you need not to be people pleaser rather you should aim at directing those who will be affected by your decision in the right path and set precedence for future well considered decisions.
One of the important rules in life to enjoy a happy life is embracing optimism so even in decision making you need to expect that whatever you do will be favourable to you and others who will be affected by it.
In times of lack of clarity in deciding issues you need to look at the bigger picture this will enable you not to over engage in inconsequential minute details which would only waste your time and energies.
