Well, one morning real early
I was going down the street,
And I heard a stranger asking
For alumni in this world
There was something in his voice
That made me feel quite shaky.
And when I looked right in his face,
Who should it be but The father, son and Holy spirit
I grasped them tight, and i was taken home
What gladness filled my cup
And I laughed, and just rolled over,
And laughed, celebrating the new city
‘Where have you been? Oh Peter the Rock Did you bring many people to us dear!
Take the crown of life and enjoy
Oh! For when you children went away
My heart was awful sore.’
‘What, daddy, I have been so hurt
Since ever I have never been free,
But by your promises i surely stood
And know i finish the race
‘They wrote me that they had a life,’
‘And children?’ ‘Yes, they have inspired.’
‘You blessed too?’ ‘Oh, no, indeed,
I thought I’d first get free.’
‘Then, God said , you will stay with me,
And comfort your poor heart;
Old Kingdom got no power now
To tear us both apart.
‘I amricher now in words
Because I have got my life
And those who are dead,
Raised are we together
‘Tell him I want to see them all” God insisted
Before your life do cease:
And then, like good that I AM
I hope to see you here
