Did Pakistan have a hand in cold blood murder of journalist Sharif?

Worth Noting:
- Well, reports indicated that Sharif was a thorn in flesh of the government of Pakistan led by Prime Minister Mahamad Shehbaz Sharif.
- He had fled there after Sharif administration ordered him to be arrested to face charges of sedition and peddling anti-state narrative against the PM.
- It is worth noting that after the shooting the former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan claimed that he had been killed by Pakstan’s killer squads.
- A few days later, Khan survived death narrowly in what was widely seen as a clear case of attempted assassination plot. He was shot in the leg as he led anti PM Sharif demonstration there as reports indicated the murdered journalist was his close ally.
The latest media reports have indicated that Pakistan and Kenya have differed on how journalist Arshad Sharif met his death.
In a statement released by the minister of interior, Pakistan alleges that he was murdered. This was not a case of mistaken identity. He was killed. The Kenya government has, on the other hand, maintained her position.
Moments after the sad news of shooting of Sharif at road block on Magadi road, Kajiado County, broke out, President William Ruto directed the National Police Service [NPS] detectives to immediately commence the investigations.
The police continue to hold that this was a case of mistaken identity. This position seems to resonate with the investigations conducted by the Independent Police Oversight Authority [IPOA].
Both reports indicate that the journalist was fatally shot by a GSU officer. This is after the vehicle which was being driven by his brother failed to stop at a roadblock.
A case of a stolen vehicle had been reported at Pangani Police Station. The officers in Magadi had been put on high alert after signals showed this vehicle was being driven towards that direction.
But the shooting would raise a couple of queries. If their intention was to immobilize the vehicle, one would have expected the officer [s] to shot the tires because it cannot move when deflated.
The second option was to shoot the driver. But here, they ended up shooting the person sitting on co-driver’s seat?
Again, it was reported the vehicle had been sprayed with a lot of bullets.
Reportedly, the owner of the ‘stolen vehicle’ had also filed a case of kidnap. He had claimed that his child was inside the car at the time. So, many people would not have expected the police to do so because this would have endangered the life of the ‘child’.
It later emerged the person referred as a child was a grown-up man, 21. Reports further indicated. He was a driver and he is the one who had driven his father’s vehicle away.
At this point, the question many people would ask is. Was the real motive of killers? Could it turn out the Pakistan government was involved in this murder? If yes, how was the plan hatched?

In Pakistan, Sharif was a renowned investigative journalist and he was killed when he was about to release a damning and shocking documentary on how corruption had permeated all public sectors and other ills associated with his name shake, Sharif, PM. Pakistan is ranked as one of the corrupt countries.
The cold blood murder of this journalist drew the attention of the whole world. With this, you would not have expected Pakistan government to turn blind eye.
The PM and other officials started calling on the Government of Kenya to speed up the investigations and bring the culprits to book.
Many believe that, perhaps, this was a well-calculated plot to hoodwink the world that they had no hand in the murder and were ‘committed to protect the lives of all our citizens’.
In doing this, they would succeed in one thing; Spoiling the image of Kenya. The picture is. The foreigners visiting this country ‘were not safe’. So, the community of nations should discourage their citizens from travelling there.
If it is true Sharif was killed by Pakistan state agents, he is not the only person to be executed in a foreign country. The world is replete with numerous similar cases.
