We tried our best but you’d to leave,

It pains us deep when we recall the events of that Christmas eve

They’re worth our salty tears;

For our cicatrix and sorrows prolongs over us

Mama cried in agony seeing you on the hospital’s gurney,

And this ushered us to a rough journey;

A journey of ups and downs

That made our cheeks turn a roadmap to the ocean of tears from our eyes,

For we had lost a hero of our lineage;

The one we were attached to for ages

Rage grew in me and turned out the monster I was,

It later succumb to a call of humanity clause;

For our tears had paved their way to our hearts,

Pierced and pieced it into unrecognisable parts

The scars we had on our faces extended to our torn hearts,

Making it hard for us to harden through life without flirts

Till then we’re a weak wall;

Since the gods are never in control,

But papa we are fighting the battles you left

Till forever we’ll never cleave.
