Cooperation on Peace and Development (COPAD), allied leaders and development partners pose for a photo after their meeting yesterday

Leaders from Cooperation on Peace and Development (COPAD), an economic bloc for Laikipia, Isiolo, Bringo and Samburu counties met yesterday held a meeting with development partners.
The leaders met with Northern Rangelands Trust and the European Union (EU) team from Brussels and Nairobi to discuss the ongoing EU-supported projects and long-term collaboration.
NRT is implementing an EU- funded Kenya RangER Program in four counties in collaboration with the Cooperation on Peace and Development (COPAD), ICRAF, CSI, E4IMPACT, and JKUAT.
The program aims to increase the productivity of rangelands’ ecosystem services in COPAD counties, as well as to reduce poverty and improve the socio-economic well-being of communities in the four regions.
Present at the meeting were Governor Benjamin Cheboi (Baringo), Deputy Governors Reuben Kamuri (Laikipia), James Lowasa (Isiolo), and Gabriel Lenengwesi (Samburu) and COPAD Directors Alfred Nchana Lengingiro -Laikipia, Albert Lemasulani -Isiolo, Roxana kandie -Baringo and Peter Lekitasharan -Samburu.
