Leaders presented during yesterday's meeting

Amref Health Africa in Kenya is going to finance an Oxygen poject to a tune of Sh121 million.
The project will support production of high volume Oxygen for hospitals in the county whose oxygen consumption were the highest at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The hospitals include Nanyuki Teaching and Referral Hospital – NTRH – LHS Nanyuki, Nyahururu County Referral Hospital, Rumuruti Sub County Hospital and Ndindika Subcounty Hospital.
In the project, Nyahururu will instal a three tonne liquid oxygen tank and connect large sections of the hospital with new oxygen manifold and piping. Rumuruti follows with a PSA Oxygen Plant as well as piping.
Nanyuki and Ndindika will have oxygen manifolds and piping as well.
The project also provides for oxygen cyclinder refills and distribution to health facilities within the county.
In yesterday’s entry meeting, British Oxygen Company, contractor for Nyahururu hospital project, was formally introduced to the County Health Management led by the Acting Chief Officer Dr Timothy Panga and the Nyahururu hospital’s Acting CEO Dr Lawrence Kamande.
The works commence immediately and will be commissioned by area Governor Joshua Irungu, in the next few weeks.
