It has been a permanent notion and mentality to say youths are leaders of tomorrow. Now the question comes why should youths not to be the leaders of now?
For this perception to be broken it calls for everybody majorly the youths themselves. For instance during voting youths come out in small numbers hindering victory to their fellow youths. At the same time issues arise about the credibility of these young people to lead with an alleged anticipation that they can’t understand the reasons behind marriage anyway.
If now as it is termed that youths are leaders of tomorrow why should it in every five years period of elections the same mind repeats. Even it looks unfortunate that the dockets that stand for the affairs of young people are awarded to the elderly.
Consequently instead of then incorporating them in leadership spaces atleast if so to gain that experience for tomorrow, none is done. Maybe it works well for the commonly used phrase that works for the youths and money for the elderly.
Steadfast commitment must also be decisively employed by the youths to show the eager they have towards leading. Since some of the youths who have fortunately been elected have indeed failed terribly.
With that reason they go and forget that they are supposed at to voice for the affairs of the youths besides their mandate in their respective areas they are elected or placed. Then it can be cheaply be said that even youths are enemies of themselves.
The mentality must be changed rally behind youth’s leadership now and not tomorrow, since the youths have the energy to perform wonderfully provided that they are given the right advice at all time. Let us not waste the energy but use it sparingly.
