As we approach for August 9 poll President Uhuru Kenyatta has urged electorates to vote for visionary leaders.
Speaking at Kisii County, Uhuru said that this is the time the electorates are supposed vote wisely.
” Do not be cheated by some selfish politicians who wants to take us back where we have come from, we have sacrificed a lot to bring peace and tranquility on this country, he said.
Uhuru said that he wants to leave the country at safer hands, a leader who has the interest of the people at heart.
Handshake
Uhuru said that development of the country has been contributed by the handshake between him and Odinga.
According to him, they realized that peace of the country was more important than divided leadership.

Endorsement of Odinga
At the same time he campaigned for Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga and urged the illegible voters to vote for him.
He said that Odinga has shown good leadership who can lead the country.
He asked his deputy president William Ruto to stop criticizing the government; it’s through handshakes that have brought development in the country.
William Ruto has been asking Uhuru to retire peacefully from the government and not to involve himself in politics.
Uhuru told Kenya Kwanza to tone down their voice and ask for votes in a polite manner.
“Am not looking for votes, instead of moving all over to taint my name , you should have asked the voters to vote for you, he said.

Commissioning of projects
Uhuru said that before he leaves in the office he will make sure that he completes the projects.
According to him he has brought up more development projects in the country since he took leadership as a president.
Peaceful election
He asked politicians not to carry divisive politics which can divide the country.
Uhuru said that election will come and go and leaders should carry out peaceful election.
Bargaining share
Kisii and Nyamira leaders pleads to Uhuru as he retires from the government , to leave them in a safer hands and to make sure the leaders have been given a share in the coming government as Omogusii community.
The leaders said that they have never been in the opposition government, the reason as to why they will make sure they garn more votes for Odinga to become the fifth president of the country.
Uhuru told them in order to be cobsicdrerd in the next government to make sure they rally behind Odinga to garn more votes in order for Odinga to become the next president.
