Worth Noting:
- When the person you trust maintains what you trust him with your heart is always at peace with him. Your relationship becomes better and better and respect for him is genuine but once he breaks the trust by going contrary to what you know him for or have agreed upon you are left looking for ways to change the system he is aware of so that you are not attacked and overwhelmed unprepared by a friend turned a foe.
- You will likely refrain from engaging his close friends or anyone with similar characteristics like him for the fear that a similar situation may emerge inflicting pain in the old wounds.
To trust is a profound commitment and to trust is to make oneself vulnerable. It’s such an optimistic act, because you are putting your faith in the hands of someone or something which you expect to remain constant even if the circumstances change ………………. Tom Hiddleston.
Among the most important things one can give to you is trust. He will not mind you knowing his top secrets whether for success, security or weaknesses.
A patient trusts a physician to an extent that any medication given to him he takes it religiously in the hope that he will be cured. In any health facility you visit it is almost unheard of for a patient to bother asking the doctor about his professional qualifications or experiences all they do is to trust that the physician is fully equipped with essential skills to deal with the illness. Just imagine some patients sign form allowing the surgeon to carry out operations while the patient is in unconscious state.
A young kid trusts in the mother for all kinds of provision whether food, security, cleanliness and every good thing you may think about. If the biological mother become harsh to the kid by constantly punishing him anyone else who would embrace the kid and kindly treat him will be the one the kid will trust while fearing the mother and keeping off as the trust has been broken.
Trust is important that not only it is verbally communicated but at times extra steps are taken to make sure that anyone who breaks it faces the repercussions for example among the medics, security personnel and top government officials they take oath of office bidding them to maintain professional ethics no matter external factors that may compel them to behave otherwise.
Anyone among these groups who breaches the code of conduct is liable for punishment including expelling him from the office.
In a marriage situation breaching trust leaves the affected partner in a tricky situation as it is difficult to make the other partner trust in him or her any longer. Any miss in future or unclear situation is suspected as an attempt to cheat owing to the time you broke trust and was identified tainting your image.
Whatever discipline people know you best in is what they have trust in you for. Anything else that is not in that line that you do will not be taken seriously for example if you are an agriculture teacher and your students perform well in exams and in their professional lives then you start making furniture or building houses those who knows you as an agricultural specialist will not be much interested with your construction works as they know your strength is in teaching agriculture or practicing it.
When the person you trust maintains what you trust him with your heart is always at peace with him. Consequences emanating from this breach will further worsen your relationship leaving both parties bitter hence need to fear your enemy.
No one can know with certainty who to trust as everyone can change and break the covenant but care need to be taken when relying upon anyone as some people are better equipped to retaining secrets in certain issues compared to others.
Where one has vested interests he is likely to respect that discipline as he fears risking his special interests for example a security officer will not easily reveal secrets of their artillery as enemies may hear about their arsenal and attack it hence he will try to safeguard his interests. Shareholders will maintain business secrets as they are afraid that if essential information is revealed to competitors or potential entrants their survival will be threatened.
