In a country like Kenya majority of farmers rely on rainfall for water provision. The changing weather patterns have affected food growth to an extent that there is prolonged famine not that it is not raining or the rain is insufficient but because of its distribution in that intense rain is falling but in a short period unless reservoirs are constructed there will surface runoff that will flow to rivers then get transported to seas leaving land dry only for the productivity to be affected by inadequacy of water.
