After months of complains from Kenyans due to the high prices of flour, now they can have something to rejoice about because the government has subsidized the flour on due date.
Yesterday customers were seen flocking at Cleanshelf supermarket, Nyahururu branch after the flour had gone down from 225 to 100 bob. They even finished the stock that the supermarket had. This means Kenyans were very eager for this price to go down because they felt as if they were at the edge.
It is time that the government should intervene in forming laws that protect staple commodities and food to avoid abnormal inflation.
This would help in stabilizing the economy of the country and making the lives of citizen simple. Therefore, the government should always stick to lower food prices.
