In a country like Kenya a training that takes less than a year in security issues makes most of the policemen or army to be more loyal to the country than to their close family members. What they are trained in instills great discipline to them in matters of respecting their seniors and importance of remaining vigilant as they keep their country safe. They start going in groups usually of two officers as they realize the need for reinforcement more so in the face of danger.
Those who feared professionals who worked in such a field are now happy and comfortable with them as they see them as their colleagues. The closeness makes them to imitate what they see their colleagues doing.
Exposure to tough conditions while training as well as need to deal with hostile situations at work may turn someone who lived cowardly into one of the bravest persons around so as to be able to work effectively.
In case of divorce either the less talkative party or the one who do not have deceiving looks is blamed as the counterpart usually goes around narrating the story in own favour. Thereafter you may find both of the parties changing tactics and marrying someone who openly behaves almost direct opposite of what the previous partner used to behave, the reason being the exposure have taught them some of the realities in life for example there are people who hate drunkards arguing that they are brutal only for them to live with a non-drunkard who is brutal therefore making them to stop generalizing people and start to look at merits of each person separately.

A human kid is usually born unable to stand upright or walk. Over time he uses the structures around to reinforce himself to stand thereafter he uses them as support as he walks. Once he learns to walk it becomes difficult to find such a kid crawling like he used to before he learnt to walk. The new and better exposure makes him remain willing to do things in a better version than he used to before.
Alcohol may taste bitter to first time drinker but ones he gets used to it at times even becoming an addict he no longer considers it as such in fact he wishes to enjoy that taste.
A shy person once he starts practicing public speaking he gains confidence and no longer the size of his audience becomes
