Even Christians can be influenced by demon spirits. This is why there are sometimes problems in churches. And this is why pastors, instead of fighting with combative individuals in their churches, should take authority over the evil spirits who are behind the actions of these people. Some may ask, “How can Satan compel Christians to do certain things?” The answer is fairly simple. It is because many Christians have shortcomings in their lives.
Let’s take the example of Peter, the Rock, a committed beloved disciple of Jesus; when he was informed by Jesus of the destiny he had to suffer, die on the cross. Peter in his weakness; overzealous, said it would not happen under his watch; delusion of grandeur. But, immediately, Jesus recognising that it was not really him saying this; but rather being influenced by Satan; He commanded Satan directly: “ Get behind me Satan, you are an offense to me, you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns (Matthew 16:23).” The will of God was to be fulfilled regardless. We see clearly, Satan takes advantage of these failings and causes problems. But the fact remains, it is evil spirits who cause the problems. If pastors; ministers would take authority over those spirits and command them to depart, most church problems could be solved with no confusion. And this holds, of course, for many other situations.
This revelation is very key in dealing with many troubles that we encounter. Instead of targeting men, target evil spirits that cause people to act wickedly. We know very well, we do NOT wrestle against flesh and blood(man in human form), but against principalities; against powers, against the rulers of the darkness in this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places,,.(Ephesians 6:12). So, let us be wise, be filled with the Holy Spirit, and be fully armoured always for victory in battles.
TO GOD ALONE BE THE GLORY, THE MIGHTY MAN OF WAR: JEHOVAH NISSI, THE EVERLASTING KING.
