Jadidism appeared in Turkestan at the end of the 19th century, it was formed at the beginning of the 20th century, and after that, school education began to be reformed, new literature, in a word, a new way of thinking appeared. “Jadidchilik” is based on the word “jadid”.
The word “Jadid” means “new”. This “new” is not just a “new word”, it includes many and wide concepts such as “new idea”, “new thinking”, “new person”.
Discussion and Results
Jadids existed in almost all classes of people – artisans, carpenters, merchants, farmers and intellectuals. Modern experts in the field of industry and agriculture, advanced scientists have grown up among the ancients.
It is no exaggeration to say that Ismail Obili, Abdulla Avloni, Munavvarqori, Mahmudhoja Behbudi, Ashurali Zahiri are bright examples of modernism. They formed their press during the Jadidist movement. Jadids published their newspapers and magazines in Tashkent, Bukhara, Samarkand and Kokand.
Another bright manifestation of the Jadidist movement is Abdulla Awlani. We know that Abdulla Avloni joined the jadid movement at the beginning of the 20th century and was one of the active participants of the jadid in Tashkent. Like Mahmudhoja Behbudi, Abdulla Avloni opens a school of method for neighborhood children. He also teaches native language and literature in this school opened in Mirabad neighborhood of Tashkent city. In 1909, he published the first volume of his four-part collection of poetry entitled “Literature or National Poems”, and in the same year he established the “Jamiyati Khairiya” foundation and educated orphans. He writes and publishes textbooks and manuals for the schools he opened. For example, “The first teacher”, “The second teacher”, “Turkish gulistan or morals” in 4 volumes (parts), “Literature or national poems”, “School of gulistan”, “Song of workers” The students in the schools opened by zi also used it to teach young people. Abdulla Awlani also wrote many poems.
For example, in Tashkent “Taraqqi” (editor – Ismail Obiliy), “Shuhrat” (editor Abdulla Avloni), “Khurshid” (editor Munavvarqori), “Asia” (editor Abmadjon Bektemirov) in Bukhara, “Bukharai Sharif”, “Turon”, in Samarkand , “Samarkand” (editor Mahmudhoja Behbudi), “Sadoyi Fergana” newspapers and magazines “Turon”, “Oyina”, “Al-islah” were published in Kokand.
Mahmudhoja Behbudi, Abdulla Avloni, Munavvarqori, etc., are the Jadids who brought the Jadidism movement to the highest level.
In conclusion, we can say that Jadidism became the main factor in the national and cultural development of the youth of Turkestan. Jadids do not change their views and aspirations in any difficult situation during their career. Jadids were determined to save the people from backwardness, illiteracy, poverty, and colonialism of the tsarist government. This policy promoted by Jadids helps to raise the consciousness and thinking of the youth.
