All spirits that entice your children into taking drugs or becoming alcoholics come from the devil. But Jesus came down from heaven to bring us eternal life and life more abundantly here on earth. Stick with Jesus, and you will have a life full of peace, joy, and power over the enemy. Whom the Son sets free is free indeed. (John 8:36.) God wants you free to believe the whole Bible, not just the parts that fit the doctrines of men.
Some denominations have not departed from the doctrine of salvation, yet they are not believing the whole Bible because they have departed from the doctrine of healing and the doctrine of deliverance. Whatever Jesus did is what I want to do. Jesus is the Head of the Church. All pastors are “undershepherds” of the Lord Jesus Christ. All pastors are supposed to obey Jesus and do what He did. Then, as a member of a local church, you are to obey your pastor in Christ. However, you do have a right to check on what your pastor is preaching to see if he is obeying Jesus or not. A good pastor will want you to bring your Bible to church and check up on him.
Pastor Hayes gives an account of an experience which in it, there are great lessons, he states: “Once I went to a minister’s conference where I was a speaker. I wanted to have a healing service. But the Lord said He wanted me to have a deliverance service. So I had to go in there in front of full-gospel ministers, speak on deliverance, and then minister deliverance. I spoke and gave an invitation. Some one hundred and fifty people jumped out of their seats and came down front. And I taught the pastor and the evangelist holding this conference. I said, “See all these people? Outwardly, they look as if they are in pretty good shape. But I have not prayed yet. It is amazing how good a church looks until you have a deliverance service.”
He adds: “So I began to pray and bind the devil in Jesus’ name. And demons began to scream out in those people. They began to fight and to fall on the floor. A demon can be in you for twenty years and never scream and fight as long as you do what he wants. He will not manifest twenty-four hours a day—only whenever he needs to in order to keep you in line.
