Head of Public Service Felix Koskei expressed concern over the increasing number of Kenyans using fake certificates for employment or promotion.
He warned that fake papers are found in education, police departments, civil servants, and other government-employing bodies.
“It pains that fake papers are found in education, the police department, civil servants, and many other government employing bodies,” he said.
Koskei warned that government employees who are found culpable will be punished according to the law.
He promised that the government is ensuring qualified people with genuine certificates are doing what they are specialised at.
He assured Kenyans that taxes paid, including those proposed in the Finance Bill 2024, will be used prudently and that no single shilling will be stolen.
He pleaded with Kenyans to focus on what their taxes will deliver in terms of education, roads, health, agriculture, and other sectors.
