In a bid to equip recent graduates with vital life skills necessary for their future endeavors, the Kenya Education Fund (KEF) organized the CREW Workshop 2024. Held in Nairobi from July 15 to July 17, the workshop aimed to empower the class of 2023 with practical knowledge and tools beyond academic qualifications.
The event, attended by over 200 graduates from various regions across Kenya, featured intensive sessions on financial literacy, career development, entrepreneurship, and personal development. Facilitators included seasoned professionals from diverse fields, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience for the participants.
“We believe that education goes beyond the classroom, the CREW Workshop is designed to bridge the gap between academic achievements and real-world challenges these graduates will face. Our goal is to ensure they are not only prepared academically but also equipped with the skills to thrive in their careers and personal lives.” Remarked Francis Ng’ang’a the country Director KEF

The workshop equips them to excel in their chosen fields, become responsible individuals, and contribute meaningfully to the global community where each year KEF ensures that mental wellbeing of the students is cared for and cultivated, and also encourages the youth that completed their secondary education to take advantage of the many opportunities available such as TVETs, scholarships and other global opportunities.
The CREW Workshop 2024 also emphasized the importance of community engagement and social responsibility. Participants were encouraged to consider ways they can contribute positively to their communities through their careers and personal initiatives.
As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting education and youth empowerment in Kenya, KEF plans to continue hosting workshops like CREW to benefit future graduating classes. The organization remains dedicated to nurturing well-rounded individuals who are ready to make meaningful contributions to society.
