Nyandarua Governor Francis Kimemia in Ol-Kalou yesterday

Nyandarua County Governor Francis Kimemia yesterday commissioned roads in Ol-Kalou Municipality which have been upgraded to bitumen standards.
The tarmacked roads have transformed the outlook of the town that has in the past faced infrastructural challenges.
Apart from the road upgrade, the town has undergone a massive facelift with installation of new solar street lights, construction of storm water drainage and the paving of walkways.
The project, which is a joint programme between the World Bank under the Kenya Urban Support Program in support of infrastructure development and the County Government has also seen construction of a major fresh produce market in the town.
Projects already completed in Olkalou cost over Sh 128 million-over Sh 62 million for roads, pathways and parkings lots and over Sh 66million for paving blocks plant, modern cemetery, solid waste management and beautification.
Kimemia noted that his administration was committed to carrying out infrastructural development in all the towns in the county saying simultaneous upgrade was going on in Engineer and Mairo Inya towns.
