Governor Kimemia changes his deputy nominee over resignation clause

Nyandarua County Governor Francis Kimemia yesterday disclosed that he had replaced his deputy nominee.
Kimemia revealed that he had let go Engineer Joseph Mungai Mbugua, Regional Director Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KERRA) after learning that he had not resigned in February as required by law.
He replaced him with Quantity Surveyor Isaac Maina Gitura.
The governor started shopping for a new deputy after Ms Cecilia Mbuthia requested that he pick another candidate to run the county with if he wins the second term.
In his statement yesterday, the governor revealed that Gitura is one of the professionals from Nyandarua who has made immense contribution towards the greater good of the County.
“The DG candidate hails from Matundura Village in Engineer Ward, Kinangop Sub County. Just like Eng. Mbugua, QS Gitura is a distinguished son of Nyandarua who will bring colossal expertise to assist in our transformation journey. He is a holder of Bachelors of Building Economics (Quantity Surveyor) from the University of Nairobi (UON) and is currently pursuing a Masters in Construction Management in UON. He also has a Diploma in Computer Studies. The alumni of Starehe Boys Centre is a Member of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators-Kenya. He is a Registered Quantity Surveyor by the Board of Registration of Architects. Qs Gitura is also a practicing Arbitrator with over 10 years’ experience.
Qs. Gitura is also a Corporate Member of the Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Kenya and Institute of Construction Project Managers of Kenya.
The DG designate has over 25 years’ professional experience in Quantity Surveying handling complex and diverse types of project namely the iconic National Library, Mathare Level 5 Hospital, various Multi Storey Buildings, Commercial Centres, Five Star Hotels amongst others”.
