Campus freedom comes with personal responsibility, many young girls usually found themselves in the hook to engage in temerity engagements of campus relationship. To taste the depth of the pond with one leg, many found themselves pregnant in the process.
Unable to hold back, thorn between the cultural and morals beliefs that prohibits abortion and the perception of carrying the ball to giving birth and how the society that once cheered you for success journey in campus streets. Many wish the earth could just crack and shallow them alive.
To face the reality, many resorts to carry the unborn child, turbulence that rock in are uncountable. Rejection from in response father to be usually hits first. Many campus male teen do not account the process, instead the jump miles away from the issue leaving behind the girl to brace.
Balancing the reality, campus life requiring insatiable upkeep finances that it’s spending is inscrutable, taking care of yourself and the unborn baby becomes a huge task. The journey has started, with rejection and financial constraint.
It’s a journey that starts in silence, waiting the baby bump to spill to the world. Few of their friends remain loyal, standing with them during lecture classes and off campus life. Engraved with fear and uncertainty, the only rescue is the mother at home. She is the only one who can bemoan the news; show compassion and the same time keep the secret if the father is a lion.
Despite of many why’s, mothers hold on the news and keep on supporting through encouragement, channeling of more finances and providing pre-natal advises. This is for those whose parent(s) felt the humour.
Unluckily, there are those who their parents couldn’t even sniff the story nor listen. For them to stay around campus is the only option, battle for themselves pretending they are in session whereas not. Keep the baby bump, deliver, and care for the infant until the child grows. A struggle worth appreciation, dear parents the forgotten mums in campus.
