Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA) Holdings Foundation, TechnoServe, CASA, and SokoFresh have partnered with Kiru Tea Factory to introduce a strategic avocado diversification project aimed at boosting farmers’ incomes and enhancing long-term sustainability.
During a consultative meeting with the factory leadership, Kiru Tea Factory Chairman Senior Counsel Chege Kirundi and his Board of Directors expressed full support for the initiative, terming it a timely and progressive move to secure better livelihoods for farmers amid changing market dynamics.
Kirundi commended the partners for their forward-thinking approach and reiterated Kiru’s commitment to championing innovative solutions that empower tea farmers beyond traditional income streams.
