Energy PS Alex Wachira hosted over 10,000 families from Kieni East Sub-County where through Alex Kamau Wa-Total Foundation, he gave out water tanks, and mattresses at Irigithathi primary school.
In support of environmental conservation, he distributed gas cylinders to promote cleaner energy use and contribute to the reduction of carbon emissions. He also held extensive discussions on supporting development programs and aligning with the government’s agenda to foster sustainable growth within the community.
Rescued members of street families were treated to a Christmas meal during a mentorship programme held at the Pentecostal Assemblies of God (PAG) Church in Kisii town. At least 500 beneficiaries received a free lunch at the event, which also featured life-skills training aimed at helping them cope with emerging challenges during the school holiday period.
Former Cabinet Minister Chirau Ali Mwakwere accompanied by other Mijikenda leaders, was sworn in as the spokesperson of the Mijikenda Community Association during a ceremony at Vishakani in Kaloleni Constituency, Kilifi County. The event also marked the launch of a broad-based alliance uniting all nine Mijikenda tribes to strengthen unity and advance the community’s socio-economic interests. The alliance includes tribal leaders, scholars, religious figures, youth, women, and persons with disabilities. Speaking at the launch, Ambassador Mwakwere urged the government to address historical land injustices and the menace of drug abuse while strengthening the coastal economy to curb insecurity linked to gang activities.

Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, Musalia Mudavadi, has called on the people of the Western Region; popularly known as the Mulembe Nation to unite in support of the government in order to unlock meaningful development for the region. Mudavadi emphasized that development thrives where citizens work closely with the government, urging leaders and residents alike to prioritize unity, peace, and constructive engagement.
