By Evangelist Eric Musa
Jesus at one time had to sound a strong warning that not anyone who speaks bad things about the Holy Spirit would be forgiven. “Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven unto men” (Matthew 12:31). We have to know that the Holy Spirit is all pure, all power, all Holy. Jesus was recognizing and accepted that people could insult Him because of His bodily, but extending this to the Holy Spirit was like insulting God directly in His eyes.
Whenever God does great things, people seem to have an explanation for the miracles other than the power of God at work. When people saw Lt. Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke and the large gathering of crowds at his crusades, people like to explain that it is because he was a German that he has a lot of money to organize large crusades. Behind any man of God, is the anointing. Don’t let the anointing draw out the evil that is in you. Don’t let the anointing draw negative comments from you. Sometimes, I watch as people try to demean miracles and try to belittle the power of God.
This is tantamount to blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. You would rather desist from indulging and referencing what you do not understand. The Pharisees because of the pride and hypocrisy that dominated their lives resulted into blaspheming the Holy Spirit, and for this they committed the unpardonable sin. God have mercy on all of us and help us. I pray you understand me and understand me right! This should not be a one-way for the devil to convince you that you have committed the unpardonable sin by throwing bad thoughts to you. Know that the evil thoughts that come to your mind if you have accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, and you are cleansed by His precious blood, these bad thoughts are not your own, but darts of the devil trying to deceive you; he is ever defeated.
GLORY BE TO GOD, WHO GIVES US VICTORY ALWAYS IN CHRIST JESUS. AMEN.
