Marjona Baxtiyorovna Jo‘rayeva
Let me listen to the words you have said,
My heart is full, like a river your love has spread.
My kind one, my guide, my compass so true,
May more and more years be added to you.
You’ve seen both the good and the bad in this life,
We’ve learned your advice, your wisdom is rife.
So many events you’ve helped us to see,
So many lessons you’ve passed on to me.
Whatever Grandpa says, surely comes right,
He’s the bright face, our home’s shining light.
I’ll write his name in beautiful lines,
And keep it sacred through all of time.
He spends his days in remembrance and prayer,
He’s walked ‘round the Kaaba with deepest care.
With a white beard, like an angel he stands,
The pillar of our home, with guiding hands.
