A PROMISE OF LOVE
Not just the date, but the love we feel,
It’s me and you, for each sunset and meal,
We’ve walked through storms, and sunny skies,
Together we faced the lows and highs.
Every morning, when I wake with you near,
Our love grows stronger, year after year,
Through every laugh, and every tear,
I know, that we’ll conquer every fear.
I thank the stars, above each night,
For a love that’s pure, true love that’s right,
No storm or wave, can tear us down,
In this love we have, I won’t let you drown.
Hand in hand, we’ll face unknowns,
In our heart, we’ve made our home,
No shadows dark, can shade our light,
Together, we’ll make the wrong things right.
It’s more than words, it’s what we do,
In every dawn, I choose you anew,
We’ll burn forever, like the raging flame,
But our love will be, a never ending game.
Not only because it’s Valentine’s Day,
That I promise my love will forever stay,
No amount of trials will break us apart,
Because in my heart, you’re my first and last.
I thank the Lord for the life with you,
I promise Him, to be faithful and true,
No amount of trials, will break us apart,
Because you’re etched here inside my heart.
