A world where sorrow scorches every heart,
At times it cleanses, washing stains apart.
The wicked win, the righteous left behind,
A world where justice is so hard to find.
We deem as truth all that our eyes have seen,
Yet deep inside we cry, “What does it mean?”
We sometimes laugh while pain still grips our soul,
This world, where joys are lies, and none are whole.
Life flows away just like a drifting stream,
And some look back with sighs at every dream.
Regrets set hearts ablaze with burning fire—
A world that sings us songs of lost desire.
At times we’ve sunk in sins, so dark and deep,
Our hearts, like stones, grew hard, forgot to weep.
We’ve slandered others with no rightful cause,
This world, where eyes of hearts wake with a pause.
Sometimes you taught us bitter lessons, true,
And showed what’s false and what is truly due.
A flood of sorrow, endless trials to bear—
This world o’erflows with burdens hard to share.
Yet trials may wait, and hardships may appear,
I’ll win someone, or some may win me here.
Hope always lights the corners of my soul—
The brave shall cross each mountain, reach their goal.
