Abeera Mirza is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to putting pen to paper. She is a fountain of words that tugs the heart strings. In addition, she is a friendly soul. Personally, l have co-authored with her in various poetry anthologies. Consequently, l know very well what she is capable of in breathing life to her poetry pieces. This shows poetry has the ability to connect people from different continents. Suffice to say, our mandate however remains the same that is propelling the gospel of poetry to greater heights.

My name is Abeera Mirza, and my journey in poetry started when I discovered the magic of words and their ability to express emotions in a unique way.

Have you won any major accolades for yourself in poetry? Are you a published poet?

Yes, I am a published poet and have been part of more than 80 anthologies, including the prestigious “Maverick”, Pakistan’s Largest Anthology.

Who is your inspiration?

My inspiration comes from everyday life experiences, nature, and the beauty of human emotions. I find inspiration in the little things that often go unnoticed.

Where do you see yourself in the near future?

In the near future, I see myself continuing to write and share my poetry with the world. I hope to reach a wider audience and connect with more people through my words.

What problems have you faced as a poet?

As a poet, I have faced the challenge of finding the right words to express complex emotions. It’s also sometimes a struggle to find the right platform to showcase my work and reach a larger audience.

Any word of advice to others who would want to venture into poetry

My advice to anyone venturing into poetry would be to write from the heart and be true to yourself. Don’t be afraid to experiment with different styles and themes. And most importantly, never stop believing in the power of your words. Keep writing and expressing yourself!
