The taste of freedom,
Is what will chill our throat like a ice block,
Our dreams are big,
But the chances are small,
The land is polluted,
Lives are caged under oppressions,
Watch and see,
Inhale her deeds,
The hands with the gun are oppressing,
The hands with the gold are frustrating
Our peace is stolen by our hands,
Our rights are taken in streets,
Africa full of contradictions,
Truly our minds are occupied with ignorance,
A better Nation can be rebuilt,
On the desk were a zillion of activities,
Though some are minor,
yet most are beyond my abilities;
To add to the abnormalities,
The needy are stuck in the caves of difficulties,
In this trying times of our economy,
Where is our humanity,
Our essence in divinity,
Upholding life’s dignity,
Conscience and purity,
Laid within true clarity,
What’s this tug of starvation and security in Africa,
That hunts and spore,
Mad avarice for more,
In ways unseen afore,
Inflicting global sore,
I am calling on my fellow Poets,
arise and Inspire,
With healing verse sire,
A broken world rewire,
In years time perspire,
Help our world respire,
The tears of the rain,
cannot wash my feet,
because my silence has turned,
the world to a river,
I feel as fearful as a dreamer
When our leaders let our blood stain,
In the street of Africa,
because of the insecurity and starvation in Africa,
Where are those beautiful custom and tradition of Africa,
It’s fast fading like the wind,
We are too proud of the European culture,
Then what is the essence of the African culture,
We are twisted and turned
in the cultures of the Europeans
while our cultures are drunk in dying spirits,
I say no to silent again,
thousand pleas for live,
No opportunity is given,
We’re are life saving masks of Africa?
when women are dying in labor children and the needy and neglected,
leaders who constitute in our heart stones of hope,
And left us in want,
I ponder and wonder
Can things be with near so yonder
Often placing us in dilemma,
Even our heads explode in thoughtful moments,
There’s confusion everywhere,
Which is pushing us to nowhere,
We are running helter skelter,
When everything is shatter,
Let us fight for a decent Africa,
That will give men the chance,
To work and the old age a security.
I remain your poet,
