Everything is ready and set for today’s Pool game tournament in home of champions Eldoret town.

Hundreds of players and fans are expected in the town for the final tournament.

The tournament, sponsored by a private entity; Base Yetu will see a total of 70 winners take home cash plus other prizes.

Also to be specially prized during the tournament will be the Best Lady player who will get a cash award.

The overall winner is expected to take home with Sh30,000 with the 70th best player receiving Sh500.

During today’s tournament,  Radio show host at Classic FM Maina Kageni is expected to make a special appearance in the home of champions.

Popular TV show artist Inspekta Mwala is going to lead other artists like Lion and Mbusii in enlightening Eldoret town residents and those who will attend the tournament the need of supporting the sport just like the other games.

Base Yetu which has been promoting talents and vision for the young people across the country is calling for inclusion of Pool Game in learning institutions’ sporting activities.

In a past interview,  the firm through its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nick Mararo said the move will help the students not only in critical thinking but also exploring various talents amongst the youth.

Mararo has also been agitating for the funding of the game just like the way government does to other sporting events like football,  athletics,  volleyball among others.

Last Saturday,  Base Yetu organized the third leg of the pool tournament in Eldoret town where scores of players competed for various prizes.

Previously, two other tournaments had been hosted in the same venue, Foxys Wagon Wheel Hotel in the last three weeks.

Before the tournaments start, Inspector Mwala has been leading other artists and entertainers in sensitising Eldoret residents in particular and Kenyans in general on the need to embrace Pool game as a sporting activity like they do to football, volleyball,  darts, netball and athletics among other games.

Pool game is by the day becoming popular among people of all ages, but is mostly loved by the youth.

Base Yetu has in the recent past organized such interactive tournaments in various parts of the country.

Youths support Mararo’s call for the government to invest in the game saying it another way of actively and positively engaging the young people most of whom are jobless.
